Sublime Doughnuts

The doughnuts can be described in one word - and it's in the title
Noteworthy for: Owner Kamal Grant, a classically trained pastry chef, has sometimes arrived at 2am to roll out the day's dough.

Talk of the town: Grant once told the 'New York Times' he wanted his doughnuts to be good enough to be a last meal on death row. The motto? 'Eat one that's worth it.'
Sublime sits in a nondescript strip mall in midtown by Georgia Tech, and its storefront is marked only by the word 'Donuts' in yellow letters. It may be a little indie hole-in-the-wall that's under a lot of people's radars, but those who know - know.

It's no-nonsense and bare bones, but pastry-chef Grant has found a niche. A signature delight is the A-Town cream, a take on a Boston cream in the shape of an 'A' for Atlanta, and another two highlights are the fresh strawberry 'n' cream and the orange dream star, which is subtly orangey but mostly tangy, yeasty, and creamy.
