Located just next to the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, this once temporary outdoor hawker centre is now a permanent fixture. The hawker centre is notable because all of its stores are actually branches of famous hawker food stalls found around the island, handpicked by the famous Makansutra man himself KF Seetoh, all gathered in one convenient downtown spot. This outdoor hawker centre is small and gets immensely crowded during peak hours, which is usually in the evenings around 7-8pm before the Esplanade shows start, where patrons grab a bite before going inside. While prices may be a bit higher due to its tourist attraction status and central location, it remains some of the cheapest food you can get around the area, and because it opens till past midnight, one of the few cheap late night supper options as well. It manages to maintain a old nostalgic view, albeit with a fabulous view of the Marina Bay area.
