Stylish, tropical rooftop bar

Noteworthy for: Loof has its own 'mama shop', modeled on a vintage corner store, where you can purchase original Singaporean sweets and trinkets.

Word to the wise: The earlier you arrive on a weeknight, the better. Between 5pm-6pm, house tipples are SGD 5. The price increases by SGD 1 every hour until 8pm.

Perched on the top of the Odeon Tower right next door to Raffles Hotel, Loof bills itself as Singapore's first rooftop bar. Freshly remodeled, it's a stylish spot without being OTT—the wooden deck has ample leather seating, with giant potted plants adding a homey touch. Inside, there are more plants, tropical print couches and funky shingled wall tiles designed to mimic the feathers of a bird.

Regular live music and DJs with a particular affection for electronica feature heavily here, accompanied by a cocktail menu that is appropriately eclectic. As you'd expect, the view isn't half bad, either.
