Located on the bank of Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the most iconic landmark of Shanghai. Completed in 1994, the 6th highest tower in the world is 468 m tall. The tower features 11 spheres of various sizes. Shanghai History Museum situated on the ground level of Oriental Pearl Tower contains thousands of historical relics. The lowest sphere located at the height of 90 m is called Space City whereas the highest sphere is called the Space Module at 350 m. Observation desks are located at 15 levels, different tickets allow access to different observatory and other recreational areas inside the tower. Enjoy stunning panorama of Shanghai from the highest observatory at the Space Module. On a clear day it is possible to soak in a 360° view of the Huangpu River and buildings on both sides of the river from the glass cabin. You will be biting nails walking on the glass-bottomed sightseeing floor located in the lower sphere at 259 m. The bird’s eye view of the glittering city at twilight will stay etched on your mind forever.
