Across the little town, there are souvenir shops that sell an abundant variety of artefacts and knick-knacks. But no matter where you go, in addition to the usual kind of items such as magnets, pens, key chains, bottle openers and shot glasses, beautifully made ceramic articles and pottery in brilliant colours, especially deep yellow and ochre will greet you. This is by far the most famous of Segovian handicrafts. Look for hand-painted ones which have beautiful depictions of flowers, interesting patterns and even certain characters and story lines. Look for botijos, typical potbellied jugs and jars used to store water, wine and oil.
