Kesroli Hill Fort is located close to Alwar and was built in the 14th century by the Yaduvanshi Rajputs. They are also known as Khanzadas, who converted to Islam but were originally devotees of Lord Krishna. The delightful arched verandas and endless ramparts are some of the biggest attractions of the Kesroli Hill Fort. It has now been converted into a classy boutique hotel and has the distinction of being one of the oldest heritage hotels of India.

This magnificent fort is built on a large rock, while a robust wall runs around the fort with watchtowers for the soldiers. The insides of the main fort are mostly of granite with numerous pillars for support. The ownership of the fort oscillated between the Jats and Mughals, until it was recaptured by the Rajputs of Alwar in 1775.

The rooms are different from one another in decor and the designs are quite pretty and chić. The gardens are immaculately maintained, with vivid bursts of colourful flowers. There are sweeping views of the valley from the top of the fort. The fort lies at around 12 km from Alwar.
