Located in the Torpignattara neighbourhood, Osteria Bonelli is known for its friendly and informal atmosphere and, more than anything else, its good, simple and traditional Roman food. As it is very popular, it is highly recommended to book well in advance. The house specialty is tonnarelli alla gricia, a pasta dish that contains the same ingredients of amatriciana (pasta sauce) minus the tomato sauce. Other dishes are the spinach and ricotta cannelloni, which are served with a gratin made of speck (similar to prosciutto, but a bit saltier), zucchini flowers and the bollito (boiled beef served with olive oil, salt, pepper and roast potatoes). Here, you will also find a good selection of wines (more than adequate to the menu) and desserts. Prices are more than competitive.
