Gandamadana Parvatham also known as Rama Foot is the highest point in Rameshwaram and has the imprints of Lord Rama on a chakra. The best part however is that you get to see the aerial view of Rameshwaram Island and the views are breathtaking. The Ramar Padam, which has the footprints of Lord Rama is on the next level. As per a popular belief Rama stood at this point to find the whereabouts of Sita, while she was captured by Ravana. A stone slab with the impressions of two feet is presumed to be the place where Lord Rama stood. The foot impressions as well as the delicate lines in the foot are also visible here. A mandap with roof has been built around the spot. Apart from this place, you can also visit Sukreevar Temple and Satchi Hanuman Temples on the way.
