Kata Rocks Bar and Lounge is the go-to drinks area at the Kata Rocks Resort and Residences. The resort itself is a short 20 minute drive from Patong Beach or Phuket Town, nestled into the hillside looking out across Kata Beach and Koh Pu. The resort has separate hidden villas that overlook tranquil pools or the stunning landscape. There is also an onsite restaurant and bar, perfect for spending a day by the pool, snacking and sipping throughout the day. Kata Rock’s secluded location provides a beautiful base for a full day of relaxation or a visit for the sunset. The Kata Rocks Bar is located next to the resort’s 35m infinity pool and serves high quality drinks and cocktails from 10 am until 10 pm. Although slightly more expensive than most of the bars along Patong beach, the resort and its bar provides a sense of style and luxury worth paying for. As the sun drops, the bar serves free tapas to guests and live music or DJs play chilled soundtracks. Guests can lounge on the poolside lounges or couches, and sample the wide range of cocktails. We recommend the house specialty – passion fruit mojito. Why go? Spend a classy evening sipping unique tropical cocktails, and watching a 180 degree sunset view.
