There's something about Blue Bar - it could be the breeze blowing in the outdoor lounge, the smiling bartenders or just the collective din of clinking glasses mixed with conversations. Either ways, this late night spot is still packed to the seams with Delhi socialites, investment bankers, industrialist kids, starlets on dates with older men and in a small minority, regular folks like you and me who go there for spot-on cocktails and happy music. The ambience and the poolside view are also a huge draw. Do yourself a favour and order a Mata Hari - an evil blend of Hendricks and plum sake that is befitting to the legacy of the notorious spy and seductress. Multiple serves of these and you'll want to do bad things as well. The Asian Muse made with vodka, lemongrass, kaffir lime and ginger beer is a distinctly flavoured cocktail that highlights the bar's Oriental roots especially when paired with the juicy Prawn Satay. The succulent New Zealand baby lamp chops glistening with fat are best countered by one of their single malts. On weekends, the music gets loud, the hemlines get shorter and the service gets delayed, but this is still the place to be.
