All across the USA, the Irish have an indelible and long legacy. New Orleans is no different. The Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans attempts to preserve over 200 years of history and legacy, of the Irish presence in New Orleans. It is located in a historic French Quarter in a lovely old building within which are interactive kiosks and exhibits, genealogy resources as well as documentaries that highlight various aspects. The museum also organizes various events and special exhibitions through the year. If browsing through the exhibits gets exhausting, then you can relax as only how the Irish do by heading to St Patrick’s Coffee House within the building which not only offers coffee but also whiskey.
