Qatar has finally opened its doors to the National Museum of Qatar, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The museum is set to open on March 28, 2019, and will provide an in-depth look into some Qatar classics, all housed inside the building designed by Jean Nouvel.
According to him, the inauguration is being attended by artists, architects, thinks, and cultural leaders of Qatar, as well as from abroad. The museum is going to exhibit treasures of this old nation, and help connect with other cultures and people.
Today if you visit the National Museum of Qatar in Doha, you will find yourself facing gigantic flying saucers as created by Jean Nouvel. Designed as desert rose, the museum structure is pleasing to the eye. According to the Director of the National Museum of Qatar, the museum is the result of a decade of planning, and it is a successful experimental museum. The museum has galleries that include movements, sound, and colour, so as to engage visitors.
Some prominent names that attended the inauguration are Victoria Beckham, Carla Bruni, Naomi Camnbell, Jose Mourinho, Jacques Herzog, and Creative Director of Blamain, to name a few.
