Anuradha Shankar is a mother, traveller, freelance writer, compulsive bookworm.. not necessarily in that order. She lives in Mumbai and aims to travel as much as she can across the country, 11 year old son in tow. Her blog "A Wandering Mind" is primarily a travel blog, but true to its name it wanders all the time - from events to random thoughts, book reviews to her son"s latest peccadilloes

Western Railway Heritage Gallery is located in Western Railway Headquarters opposite Churchgate Station. It is Western Railways’ counterpart to CST Heritage Gallery, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Western Railway Headquarters too is a heritage building, and the gallery takes up a huge space inside. Showcasing the journey of the prominent arm of Indian Railways—the erstwhile Bombay Baroda and Central India Railway (BB&CI)—the gallery has on display models of trains, brass bells and whistles, old photographs of routes and members of BB&CI, as well as maps of the original routes and lithographs displaying newly-built stations. There is also an interesting collection of century-old models of train compartments and pressure gauges displayed at the gallery.

Note: Closed on weekends and public holidays.
