A beloved local institution since 1984, Amy's Ice Creams was the first ice cream shop in town to expect their employees to be entertainers, not just servers. In addition to keeping theater students off the streets, Amy's makes excellent ice cream. The ever-changing menu usually includes favorites such as Belgian chocolate, sweet cream, and Oreo. In springtime, Amy's adds the amaretto peach flavor, which is made with fresh Central Texas peaches. And over the Christmas holidays, they sell egg nog ice cream with an optional shot of bourbon.
