Cafe culture and high-end shopping in Moscow’s theatre-landTalk of the town: Kremlin bigwigs and high-rolling businessmen can usually be spotted dining in the glitzy restaurants The Most and Bolshoi on Kuznetsky Most street.
Noteworthy for: Kamegersky pereulok has no less than 15 restaurants and cafes on it, all of which offer outside seating.
The city blocks that spread out from behind the Bolshoi Theatre are a warren of designer shops, exclusive restaurants and open-air cafes. Two major opera houses and numerous drama theatres within just three city blocks means the streets are buzzing, with theatre-goers on their way to or from dinner in one of the numerous glitzy restaurants, on most evenings
By day the streets are the terrain of wealthy shoppers buying designer goods at the boutiques on the cobbled Stoleshnikov lane, or stocking up on expensive imports and the occasional Ferrari at the upscale TSUM department store.
