The renowned International Yoga Festival is back in Rishikesh and will be held from March 1 to 7, 2020. The festival will be uniting yogis from across the globe and various cultures in a one-world yogic family. The International Yoga Festival will be organised in Rishikesh, which is considered the birthplace of yoga. The International Yoga Festival will be organised in Rishikesh, which is considered the birthplace of yoga. Also, the revered Indian town set on the banks of the Ganges has been home to ancient yogis and sages.
This year, the festival in Rishikesh will celebrate the age-old Indian practice of Yoga, with discussions and talks about the science of health and wellness. The practice of Yoga was mainly developed to attain harmony of body, mind and soul.
Here, one can connect with like-minded yogis and expand their horizon. Those interested in attending this week-long event of detoxification and purification, must book their tickets beforehand.
International Yoga Festival 2020 - the celebrations
The event will be held on the shores of the Ganges, so it will automatically be a spiritual experience of a kind. This year, the festival will see some practices from the very ancient techniques. The one thing to look forward to will be the sessions on Pranayama, Hatha Yoga and Yog Nidra.
Meditation sessions of Agnihotra, Ajapa Japa, Antar Mauna, Chakra Sudhi, Chidakasha Dharma. The yoga sessions will be taken by experienced yoga practitioners in the ashram. The attendees will get to learn about the ancient art of detoxifying body, mind and soul.
There will be sattvic food and humble lodging in the ashram. Bhajans and kirtans will also be organised at nighttime during the fest.
