This Disney World resort in USA is offering school vacation and much more

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, the USA, has proved that learning, recreation and play can go hand in hand, away from home. All you need to experience this reality is to book your stay designed for children and their parents.

Schoolcations, anyone?
The resort is offering schoolcations to its guests with kids, who would like to attend classes from the resort’s learning-friendly and child-friendly space. Once the class is over, children can indulge in playtime by visiting the Explorer Island water park, where ample fun awaits them. They can also look forward to outdoor recreation like basketball, football, sand volleyball, table-tennis and more.

The concept of schoolcations has come up considering the fact that children have been remotely studying from home; a break from home to have the best of both—a creatively stimulating environment and lots of play and recreation—would give them a good opportunity to have a special experience during the current lockdown phase.
How has it been designed to work?

As per the planning done by the resort authorities, the schoolwork sessions will be held in small-group classroom settings in airy and spacious event rooms at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. There will be free WiFi for every student and a dedicated desk area, located at a fair distance from each student. The maximum strength of the class will be six students per classroom.
Students can either go for a half-day school from 9 AM to 12 PM, or a full day from 9 AM to 3 PM with lunch. The morning hours are meant for virtual learning, and the afternoon is meant for learning arts and physical education.

What can parents look forward to?

Not just the children, there is a lot in store for the parents too. So, while the children are away to have a unique study time, parents can take part in adults-only activities such as Oasis Pool, hair salon treatments, spa treatments, golfing, mixology classes, fitness and so on.

• Price: $50 USD per child for a half-day session; $100 USD per child for the full session including lunch.
• Special package starts from December 18, 2020, at $200 USD nightly credit for staying in a guest room, and $500 USD nightly credit for staying in a one or two-bedroom suite.
