Polished contemporary hotel for lovers of all things beigeNoteworthy for: Villa Emilia's location isn't bang in the centre of things, but with many Gaudi buildings and the hip Poble Sec neighbourhood nearby, it's hardly in a backwater either.
Word to the wise: Don't miss having a drink in the lovely rooftop bar.

Admittedly, with a location on the edge of the Eixample, it's not Barcelona's most central hotel, even though there is a metro stop on the next corner. Still, if you can live without hip bars right on your doorstep and don't mind doing a little walking, Villa Emilia is an excellent choice.
