Apparently desperate to take away the title of 'number one hotel in Bangkok', the crew behind the newish St Regis spared no expense when it came to kitting out the place, making it one of the city's most enticing luxury options. Elegant Asian-inspired decor flows from the lobby into each of the 227 guest rooms and suites, while top-of-the-range amenities such as hypoallergenic feather pillows, rain showers, Egyptian cotton sheets, and luxury bathrobes come as standard.
Other amenities that manage to usurp the sizable competition include a butler who'll be at your beck-and-call 24 hours a day, the first Elemis Spa in Southeast Asia, and the spectacle of a saber-wielding head butler who slices the cork off a bottle of Moet & Chandon at 7pm every day.
