If you want to stay here at the Glasgow Metro Youth Hostel, you will have to visit the city in the summer as this hostel is actually at the Glasgow School of Art's Margaret Macdonald House. One of the great things about this hostel, other than its location, is the fact that every single room is a single room, which gives a feeling of more like a hotel than a hostel, as well as each one includes Wi-Fi. Also, 50% of the rooms include an en-suite bathroom while others are shared and everyone who stays here has access to a kitchen area so you can prepare your own food. Rooms start at just €25 a night making it one of the most affordable places to stay in the heart of the city. Access to public transportation could not be more convenient with the main underground line located just under a mile away. This hostel is also family friendly with a no partying policy and you will most likely find solo travelers here.
