Having enlisted the keen eye of avant-garde Italian design team Sawaya & Moroni for this futuristic foray into the world of boutique business hotels, it's safe to assume that the folk behind Klapsons envisioned a property that stood out among the oft-bland offerings of Singapore's central business district.

Almost every element of the hotel's decor is out to challenge guests' perceptions—the video monitor on the roof of the elevator and seemingly self-illuminating tables all add to the hotel's ultramodern feel. But comfort-seekers needn't worry; each of the 17 bespoke guestrooms and suites marries innovation with functionality whilst the meticulous attention to design detail ensures no two are the same.

Particular style kudos goes to the hotel's unique showers which range from translucent cylinders that form the centrepiece of the room to open mirrored cubes, complete with colour-changing lights.
