Elephant Safari Park & Lodge

The experience of sitting high up on an elephant in a teak chair, going through the cool jungle of Taro, feeling like the Maharaja of Jaipur, is an experience you will not easily forget. If you are coming from halfway across the globe, you will expect at least one out-of-this-world adventure, and you will find it at the Elephant Safari Park & Lodge.

Displays of elephant intelligence and their capabilities can be viewed at the Park Arena and elephants can also be seen painting at selected times daily. Kids are allowed to wash and feed their new-found friends, under supervision of the mahouts. The acclaimed Elephant Safari Park & Lodge is a sanctuary for 27 of these protected and endangered species of Sumatran pachyderms. All the elephants at the park were rescued from deforestation of jungles in Central & Southern Sumatra. You will be moved by the friendly demeanour and extraordinary talents of these gentle giants. The park's facilities include a trail for the elephants to give rides, a restaurant, a research laboratory, a small botanical garden and a lodge for overnight guests.

Lodge experience
Wake up to the sight and sound of a herd of elephants meandering to the lake for their morning bathing ritual. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast on our Mammoths Head Bar terrace overlooking 3.5 hectares of pristine tropical parklands and unspoilt natural forest. Enjoy a mid-morning swim at our pool with a fresh tropical juice before being collected by your own private Elephant Chauffeur from a purpose-built landing at your front door.

Enjoy an elephant trek through Taro forest followed by a sumptuous lunch served at the Park Restaurant located beside the elephant bathing lake, then head to the Elephant Arena for one of three daily Elephant Talent shows. Before retiring for the evening, enjoy a nightcap at the Mammoths Head Bar & Lounge.
