Located smack bang at the hearty of all the activity in Central, Butterfly on Wellington Street is an 80-room boutique hotel that offers good bang for your buck. The decor of the hotel is minimalist, with Asian accents thrown in for good measure. There’s no restaurant, gym or bar, but given that everything’s available right at your doorstep, that won’t be a hindrance. The rooms, although modest-sized, come equipped with free wifi, the service is low-key, and given its location, the insides are surprisingly quiet and insulated from the hustle just beyond the walls. Offering the most economic, yet comfortable accommodation in the area, Butterfly works best for young tourists who want to anchor themselves in proximity to Hong Kong’s party district of Lan Kwai Fong.
