I was watching a travel documentary on India some months ago and find that no one in the West really knows how to showcase the country including ourselves. It is the same - Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, with the former two absolute slums. Rural Rajasthan is among the best places to travel in Rajasthan - Bhainsrorgarh after Ranthambore, Bundi further down. In the south there is Bassi and Bijaipur, cross Udaipur and go further NW there is Siana on the way to Jaisalmer then Rohetgarh and Dhamli if one is to travel south from Jaipur. Put a camel and elephant anywhere in a dirty Punjab city and you could call it Jaipur. Rural Rajasthan is an unforgettable holiday and you can return to see even more.Read More
