A treasure trove of a huge variety of flora and fauna, the Muka Head is the world's smallest national park spanning 1181 hectares of forest and 1381 hectares of wetlands. Belying its small size, the park has a range of topography including hills, beaches, and streams. Bird-watchers should keep their eyes peeled for white-bellied sea eagles, crested serpent eagles, kingfishers and brahminy kites while wildlife enthusiasts can expect run-ins with tree shrews, civet cats, leopard cats, flying lemurs, pangolins, and sea otters. The flora is equally rich and numerous species including rocky bonsai, timber, herbal plants, casuarinas, sea almond, cashew nut and coconut can be easily spotted in the Park.
