Running east to west towards the Frezzeria, Calle Larga XXII Marzo is a broad street containing lots of designer favourites. Unlike the other the shopping streets of Mercerie or Frezzeria, there's lots of space to wander here, and this is where the upmarket Italians in the area come to restock their wardrobes.
However, outside the 'proper' shops there are many hawkers showcasing an array of copied Chanel handbags and Vuitton luggage catering to the vast majority of people for whom bona fide Prada is not an option. Buying from street traders is illegal and carries heavy fines, though this doesn't stop tourists after a cheeky bargain.
