If you are looking for less souvenir shopping and more fresh food shopping, head to this amazing farmers’ market. Saturdays are the busiest days here and we recommend getting there nice and early to fully enjoy the day. This is where the locals go to shop for their fruits, vegetables and seafood so expect to see plenty of locals and tourists milling about. The prices here are quite reasonable and one can find everything from coconut milk being drunk from the husk to lobsters to traditional veggies, such as tomatoes and cabbage. Make sure to check out the unusual fruits and vegetables that you might not see at home. There is also a small section where they do sell crafts and souvenirs if you need a last minute gift for someone back home.
