Pant Wildlife Sanctuary
Located in the Nalanda district of Bihar, Pant Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Rajgir. The Ragjir Hills play host to this beautiful unexplored sanctuary, and is surrounded by five mountains. There are quite a few beautiful animals that reside here, among other endengered ones, such as the Indian python.
Kanwar Lake Bird Sanctuary
The only Ramsar site in Bihar, Kanwar Lake Bird Sanctuary is a wondrous place that has the largest freshwater oxbow lake in Asia. It is known as a great destination for migratory birds, but it is in a bit of a crisis in the current times. The sanctuary is home to numerous trees and birds, with some critically endangered species such as the Oriental white-backed vulture.
Valmiki Tiger Reserve
Situated on the eastern most limit of the Himalayan Terai forests, this beautiful forested area is home to the big cats. It is in the West Champaran region of Bihar, and has a great biodiversity. Reports suggest that the tiger reserve home to over 250 species of birds, apart from sloth bears. bison, wild boar, and more.
Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary
Munger district's Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary is a historic destination. According to a legend, Bhima from the Mahabharata, had constructed a damn here in this location, thus the name, Bhimbandh. Surrounded by forests and hills, Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary is a hidden gem of Bihar.
