Sleek surroundings, private booths and a Hilton address causes a few diners to clutch their wallets nervously. And while enthusiastic orderers could rack up a large bill, given the quality and care put into the Japanese dishes, the bill at Toki is actually pretty reasonable. Read less
Sophisticated sushiPopular plate: Not to be outdone by the likes of Dubai’s Nobu, Toki serves up its own version of miso-marinated black cod, and does so with aplomb.
Unlike most Japanese restaurants in the city, or indeed, anywhere, Toki serves up several delicacies that are rarely seen outside of Japan, including several dishes flavoured with mentaiko, or spicy Pollack roe. Service can be a bit gruff but tables come adorned with buzzers that will call any lapsed waitress to your side in seconds.
