Seems like the world is becoming more conscious towards animal cruelty, and the latest example of it is set by the Walt Disney World in Florida going green. In a remarkable step, Florida’s Disney World has become the first Disney Park to go vegan.
According to the authorities, more than 400 vegan options will be added in the menu at the restaurants inside the Orlando theme park from the beginning of October. It’s being called a major step as there are over 600 restaurants and eateries at Orlando’s Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom eateries, people will be served Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu and Eggless Florentine. However, Disney is playing it safe when it comes to terms in the menu. They are carefully calling the food items as plant-based and not vegan. The park will also be adding a new green leaf logo to help guests in identifying the plant-based plates.
When it comes to plant-based food options, Disneylands at Paris and Hong Kong too have some options available on site, such as Risotto-style Spelt with Mushrooms at Disneyland Paris and Pan-fried Vegetables with Plant-based Dumplings at Hong Kong Disneyland.
