With a history spanning over 150 years, and considered to be the second oldest restaurant in New Orleans, Tujague’s is located on Decatur Street just a block down from Jackson Square, the heart of French Quarter. Specialising in home-style Creole cuisine it has been delighting patrons for over a century and a half. Tujague’s has however some overriding favourites. While the restaurant’s menu spans the whole gamut of Creole cuisine, loyal fans swear by the beef brisket which is served with traditional Creole horseradish sauce, potatoes and salad. Done to perfection, the brisket is tender and moist and is ably complemented by the flavourful sauce and vegetables. To go with the brisket, you can ask for one of their home-brewed beers.
