Chandigarh Baking Company is by far and away the most original bakery cum cafe in the city. The only eatery hereabouts to serve Illy coffee, every cup of cappuccino or espresso is a treat. There are macarons on offer, in dainty packets, suitable for gifting. Plus there are biscotti, chocolate bonbons, cookies as well as branded merchandise like Tao sparkling water. You can have your choice of merchandise packed to take home, or sit in CBC as it is popularly called and sip a coffee as you look out onto what is undoubtedly Chandigarh's busiest hotel lobby.
