Located in the busy bylanes of Kalbadevi Road, this restaurant is something of an institution for Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine. One of the oldest thali restaurants in the city, Shree Thakker Bhokanalay does complete justice to every item listed in their thalis. The choice of farsans and five odd vegetable dishes served along with every thali change everyday to keep the menu exciting and fresh. The choice of bread is varied and one can pick from rotis, corn parathas, puris and several other kinds of paranthas. The freshly-prepared curd and buttermilk are mandatory inclusions and serve as a good digestive and also a tasty accompaniment. The desserts are delicious and surely worth holding out for. With a different one served each day, one can expect to be served shrikhand or aamras or basundi or fruit custard or some Bengali sweet.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
