Naranzaria is a stylish local restaurant that serves innovative food in a wonderful and obscure location by the Grand Canal, near the bustling market at the foot of the Rialto Bridge. The place has a good selection of fine wines, most of which come from their own Friuli vineyards, and there is small and innovative menu that serves spicy snacks as well as an eclectic range of main dishes from carpaccio to couscous, and pasta to polenta. There’s even sushi on the menu prepared by a Japanese chef and as the restaurant is so close to the fish market, it’s always super fresh. The combination of tasty, innovative dishes and the tables by the Grand Canal makes Naranzaria one of Venice’s hippest restaurants and a wonderful dining experience.
