Dig into a quintessential south Indian meal at Bangalore's favourite canteen-style eatery where they leave no stone unturned in making your experience authentic. On any given day there are throngs of people waiting their turn, so be prepared to queue up, it's worth the effort. Once you're seated, the waiters lay down huge banana leaves which serve the purpose of both, plates and table mats. Everything on the menu is excellent, though we suggest going with one of their unlimited portion thalis if you want to sample a bit of everything. The prawn sholay kabab and mutton fry deserve special mention, as does the biryani.
