Laughing Buddha is a comparatively expensive restaurant in Hampi. Rightly so for it has some excellent grub that is complimented by an uninterrupted view of the winding River Tungabhadra. Dig into Continental, Italian, Indian and Israeli fare (their falafel-hummus platter is amazing) from its impressively large menu. Go early in the evening or you might not find a place here; dusk time usually sees a good number of travellers hanging out with chilled beers, a very relaxed ambience and slow music for company. Free Wi-Fi is available to guests though ideally one should try and get off the grid for a while. Watch the village lights come alive in the river waters and you are ready for an evening to remember.
