How does the idea of discovering a slice of America in Switzerland in the form of juicy meat burgers laden with cheese and relish sound to you? If your mouth is watering already, head over to Burgermeister, a no-fuss, hole in the wall eatery near Zurich’s train station. These burgers come with a large side of crispy fries and a dollop of ketchup to satisfy the glutton in you. The double meat variants are cooked beautifully and are the most popular names on the menu, and so are the cheeseburgers and the ‘Chefburger’. Despite the fact that these burgers are prepared from scratch, the chefs are so quick that your order will come to you in less than five minutes. There is a decent selection of beer to help you drown all that protein. It is surprising how cheap establishments like these have some of the friendliest servers in town.
