Authentic, inexpensive and delicious
Word to the wise: The staff here are known for being notoriously temperamental. Let's hope you catch them on a good day.
Crescent moon is the real deal, both in terms of decor and flavor. It has to be said, though, that it’s hardly relaxing; you’ll fight to hear yourself over the Arabic music and clattering of dishes, and the mixture of hookah and barbecue smoke is overpowering, if atmospheric. On the other hand, their freshly made yoghurt, charred and stewed meats and thick noodle soups are utterly delicious so you won't leave complaining.
