Diu has plenty for anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway. Some scenic drives can take you to the hub of Asiatic lions, Gir National Park, world’s largest salt marsh; the Rann of Kutch, an ancient jyotirling; Somnath, one of the most religiously revered towns for Hindus; Dwarka or the neighbouring Velavadar Buckbeak National Park. While this wonderful island has enough to keep you hooked for days, its neighbourhood has quite some lure too. Other than these, the quirky towns of Junagadh and Veraval are some great options as well.
