Donald Trump's Coronavirus travel ban
The US travel ban will be effective from Friday at midnight and will affect only those countries that are members of the Schengen border-free travel region. The action is being touted as a major escalation in the response to Coronavirus by Trump.
As of now, there are more than 1300 confirmed cases of Coronavirus reported in the US and the death toll has gone up to 38. After China, Italy is at the top with more than 12000 confirmed cases and 1000 plus deaths.
Justifying his action, Trump called the ban "most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history". He also said that the EU has failed to take proper action in containing the virus or taking any precautions.
