Going by the seven per cent increase in the tourist arrivals last year, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) is endorsing the state as an adventure and experiential destination. In addition, the tourism board will also focus a lot on film tourism and events this year.
As for the cultural festivals, the MPTB is preparing for the Namaste Orchha festival after tasting success with the 6-day Mandu Festival from December 27, 2019, to January 3, 2020.
A visit to Madhya Pradesh is pleasant after October, when the forest reserves and national parks open for the tourists till March. Overall, there are 10 national parks and 6 tiger reserves and 26 wildlife sanctuaries in MP.
