Bangladesh might extend nation-wide lockdown

As the number of Coronavirus positive cases rise in Bangladesh, the country is looking to extend its nationwide lockdown until May 5. Until Tuesday, the country saw nine more deaths, taking the toll to 110. The total number of cases in Bangladesh is 4186.
While it has been noted that two people have recovered from the disease, the rise in the number of affected people has also increased on the other hand.

Last week, the nation had completely shut down seven villages in eastern Bangladesh after a large funeral procession was held in the region. The seven villages were completely shut down for 14 days. This was done in order to identify those who have been affected by the virus.
Reports suggest that there will be a notice served to the citizens of the country, along with new guidelines that need to be followed.

India, on the other hand, is also reeling from the effects of the virus, with cases increasing each day. Death toll in India has risen to 681, and the Health Ministry has confirmed that 4257 people have recovered. There are 16454 active cases in the country. Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state, followed by Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, not in that order.

India too extended its lockdown until May 3, and news of any further extension has not come in as yet.
