The Bukit Peninsula (Bukit means ‘hill’) is a gorgeous, rugged piece of land right at the Southern tip of Bali that is home to some of the most beautiful beaches, surf breaks and luxury hotels. The Bukit Peninsula includes areas like Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Ulu Watu. The Bukit Peninsula is mainly the reserve of Bali’s most luxurious and exclusive beachfront resorts. The most luxurious are found in Nusa Dua which is also home to stunning white sand beaches, ultra-luxurious hotels and the Bali Collection shopping mall. The area is gorgeous but can feel a little cut off from the real Bali as most visitors tend to stick to their resorts and the nightlife and dining scene is mostly also confined to the expensive resorts. Most of the accommodation in Jimbaran is at luxury 5 star resorts and big hotel chains and there is not a big shopping or nightlife scene here. Jimbaran is also best suited to those who want a relaxing holiday and aren’t bothered about exploring far outside their luxury resort.
