Shivanasamudra Falls is the second largest fall in India and the sixteenth largest in the world. Formerly famous as the Kaveri Falls, it is surrounded by deep forests of the Kaveri Wildlife Sanctuary. The Kaveri River forms two branches while flowing down the hill, forming Barachukki and Gaganachukki Falls. Together they form the Shivanasamudra Falls. Both the falls are located at a distance of 5 km from each other, and around 130 km from Bengaluru. There are coracles that take visitors right under the waterfalls.
