Delhi is expecting its second airport in 2022, and as per Centre for Aviation (CAPA) India, a specialist aviation advisory, the foundation stone of the industry will soon be laid. Work will begin soon after, as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone of the Jewar Noida International Airport (JNIA) or the New Greater Delhi Airport between February 23 and 25, 2019.
Jewar Airport, a brand new project, will be the second facility to serve Delhi-NCR, the first being the famous Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi. The distance between the airports will be around 72 km.
Talking about India, it is doing exceptionally well and is expected to become the third largest aviation market in the world.
