Those visiting the Giant’s Causeway from Belfast almost always combine a visit to the world-famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. A leisurely, and breathtaking stroll along the coast from the car park takes us to the edge of the mainland, from where one has to walk across on a shaky rope bridge to the tiny island of Carrickarede. Those visiting the Giant’s Causeway from Belfast almost always combine a visit to the world-famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. A leisurely, and breathtaking stroll along the coast from the car park takes us to the edge of the mainland, from where one has to walk across on a shaky rope bridge to the tiny island of Carrickarede.
If you don’t like heights, then you might want to reconsider walking on the rope bridge. It sways a lot when it’s windy, and walking across is an adventure. However, once on the other side, you will be rewarded with some of the best views and species of birds that nature has to offer.
