If you want to venture off the tourist trail to a little Peruvian paradise, then head straight to Puerto Inca. Admittedly, this hamlet is a little out of the way for most tourists. But do not let that deter you under any circumstances. It is easily reachable if you intend to visit the Nazca Lines or Arequipa from Lima. It is one of the few villages in southern Peru that offer a complete historical and beachy experience all at once. Puerto Inca beach is gorgeous but small. It doesn’t see too many tourists but lots of locals visit during holidays. As a result, it is possible to rent kayaks or paddleboards and explore the waters in a different fashion. Of course, if lazing on the beach is your thing, then there’s plenty of opportunity to do that. Puerto Inca is also home to ancient Incan ruins called Quebrada de la Vaca; of course these ruins are nowhere close to iconic Incan ruins such as Machu Picchu or Moray. But the obvious advantage here is that there are few tourists around. If you want to make a weekend out of your visit to the Puerto Inca Beach, just book a room at Puerto Inca Beach Hotel. The hotel has comfortable rooms with basic amenities. The best part is that you can actually fall asleep to the crashing of the waves and spend your days in a hammock overlooking the beach.
