Kerala’s five destinations to become women-friendly by 2025; know these places
In a bid to make travel more safe and convenient for women, Kerala is all set to take major steps in establishing itself as a women-friendly tourist hub by December 2025. The five chosen destinations that saw gender audits are Kumarakom, Kanthalloor, Kadalundi, Kanakakunnu Palace and Perumpalam. All these places are renowned for their unique attractions and have immense caliber for developing women-friendly tourism.
The Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission Society along with UN Women is developing this project which aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of tourist attractions for women visitors. As part of this initiative, gender audits have been made, representing an important step towards creating a more inclusive environment for women.
