When you are done checking out the temples of Kanchipuram, this natural paradise can prove to be an interesting getaway. Situated at a distance of 48 km from the main town of Kanchipuram, the Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary is famous for being home to some of the rarest species birds and plenty of migratory birds who also visit this place every year. The bird sanctuary proves to be no less than a paradise for avid birders who enjoy the 24 inch high observation point in this sanctuary, which is situated near the lake inside the bird sanctuary. This is the place from where some of the best sightings of birds are reported. Apart from the bird sanctuary, Vedanthangal as a destination is also a pleasant place to be, thanks to the abundance of natural beauty which is spread all over the place.
