Hindon to Pithoragarh flight cancelled due to technical fault

After taking off with much fanfare on October 11, the Hindon-Pithoragarh flight has now been cancelled Heritage Aviation due to technical error.
Reportedly, all commercial operations of Hindon airport of NCR to Naini Saini airport of Pithoragarh and Jolly Grant airport of Dehradun were cancelled on Tuesday.

Due to unexpected cancellation, fight passengers were disappointed. Heritage Aviation had started operation of its Beechcraft King Air 350, a commercial nine-seater passenger aircraft on the Hindon - Pithoragarh route.
News has it that the wheel on the fight’s left side got jammed when it was landing on the Hindon airport. Consequently, the flight could not return to Pithoragarh. The flights continued to remain cancelled even till Wednesday.



According to news reports, although the residents of NCR have welcomed the Delhi-Pithoragarh flights, they have now become sceptical about the efficiency of the new service.

Heritage Aviation had kick-started its operations from Dehradun to Pithoragarh on January 17, 2019. However, on February 9, the aircraft’s door opened mid-air minutes after it took off from Pantnagar.

Later, on September 13, barring Pantnagar, flights restarted on the Pithoragarh - Dehradun route. For now, it is not clear when the normal flight operations on the Hindon- Pithoragarh route would resume.
